A solo HInc song for SongFight (although
the loops were later provided to Tapegerm
through the HInc Open Loops page.)
The vocals here are a little dodgy.
verse 1
my wife she studied galaxies
their shape elliptical
with telescope technologies
her research critical
but me i watch them just for fun
floating out in space
from here i see a billion suns
each one in its place
chorus
galaxies floating on a dark matter stream
dust clouds mist in shapes preplanned
black holes pour out gravity beams
stars are born in the palm of my hand
verse 2
my wife looks at me with a frown
"you're getting it all wrong
in space there is no up or down
they're floating in, not on."
the stars melt into suffuse glow
then dim to murky gloom
i wake up feeling vertigo
as black fades to our room
...looks like it was all a dream
i remember
chorus
galaxies floating in a dark matter stream
dust clouds mist in shapes preplanned
black holes pour out gravity beams
stars are born in the palm of my hand
The first halves of Verses 1 & 2 are true, the second halves are totally made up.
Also I do not subscribe to the "preplanned" and "in its place" philosophies but they made for good rhymes so I left them in.
This song got 3 votes.
